Its 27th Annual Benefit Art Auction, on 17 May 2006. This year's benefit features a live auction with an expanded silent auction, featuring only art, and flourish: the performance, where artist Karen Kimmel transforms one hundred flourish Auction Paddles into one-of-a-kind ikebana floral sculptures.
A stylish social event
What: Lace presents Flourish, its 27th Annual Benefit Art Auction, on 17 May 2006.
This year's benefit features a, live auction with an expanded silent auction,
featuring only art, and flourish: the performance, where artist Karen Kimmel
transforms one hundred flourish Auction Paddles into one-of-a-kind ikebana floral
sculptures. The evening culminates in a special performance by Dita Von Teese, made
possible by a generous donation from Voce.
This signature event is hosted by Lace's distinguished Honorary Host Committee,

Why: For twenty-eight years, Lace has distinguished itself by presenting artwork
that is new, untested, controversial, and experimental, and since the organization's
inception, the Annual Benefit Art Auctionhas been Lace's primary fundraising event.
Today, this benefit continues to raise important funds that allow us to provide
creation of new works and support the much needed dialogue about contemporary arts
and culture in Los Angeles.

contributes to the long-term enrichment of Los Angeles' urban landscape and
champions art's ability to engage with the timely issues that shape local and global

forums--strive to inspire the public imagination and to expand interactions between
art and audience.
Admission to Lace is free with a recommended donation of $3.00 ($2.00 students,
members free). Gallery hours are Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 6 pm, Friday 12 - 9 pm.
