Talking About... is an expositon where both artists introduce to the public their latests works, consisting in collage and others mediums. Shabani presents him self with a cycle where the collective memory is treated, trying to traduce the meaning of the questions, borned after the experience. Valle will to be introduced with a series of works from the research arguments of The Marinz Project, which the artist has developed over time.
On november 27 La Gènèrale en Manufacture in Sèvres Paris presents the personal exposition of albanian artists Artan Shabani and Eltjon Valle. “Talking About” is an expositon where both artists introduce to the public their latests works, consisting in collage and others mediums. In this exposition Artan Shabani presents him self with a cycle where the collective memory is treated, trying to traduce the meaning of the questions, borned after the experience . Eltjon Valle will to be introduced with a series of works from the research arguments of The Marinz Project, which the artist has developed over time. The Project reflects important histories : as there is no personality, this unidentified portraits cover up with adhesive could belong to everybody.
The exposition will be opended to the public until december 31. in La Gènèrale en Manufacture in Sèvres Paris. “Don't you know? you're talking about a… It sounds like a whisper. Wasting time in the unemployment line sitting around waiting to be promoted”.
Artan Shabani was born on 1969 in Vlore . Lives and works in Venice. Since the year 2007 he has been the founder and curator of The Promenade Gallery in Vlore, where also have been presented other artists such as Anri Sala, Adrian Paci, Lucie Fontaine etc. In 2009 he was the curator of Albanian Pavilon (Albania–Kosovo) on the fourth edition of the Prague Biennale. He has presented his works also in Casa Massaccio Center of Contemporary Arts in San Giovanni Valdarno and The National Gallery of Arts, Prishtina (2010), Venice Biennale – 53. Editions - Krossing/Oltre “I Confini Tra I Territori", The 4th Prague Biennale (2009), Mavi Kum Gallery, Istanbul (2008), The National Gallery of Arts of Macedonia, Scopie (2007), The National Gallery of Arts, Tirana (2006), The National Museum of the Automobile, Turin (2005), The National Library, Florence (2004), Osterbottens Museum Vaasa and Bocconi University, Milan (2003), The World Fine Art Fair, Salzburg (2002), Osterbottens Museum Vaasa (2001), Manini Gallery, Turin (2000), Metropole Contemporary Art, Monte-Carlo (1999) etc.
Eltjon Valle was born on 1984 in Kucove. Lives and works in Milano. He gratuated in the Brera Academy of Fine Arts (Milan) in 2007. Currently the artist develop a New Media Art Design postgrade in the same institution. His Works were presented in O’ Artoteca, Milan and The Promenade Gallery, Vlora (2010), Museo D’Arte Contemporanea Villa Croce, Genoa and The National Center of Contemporary Art, Moscow (2009), Micro Museum in New York, Taller Siete, Medellin Colombia, and The National Gallery of Arts, Prishtina (2008), Public Art, Trieste, Biennale di Venezia/Off Albanian Pavilion (2007), The National Gallery of Arts, Tirana (2006), Tirana Biennale/Off (2005) etc.
