Paintings, Sketches, Video, Sculpture, Photography, Installations, Artist's books, Engravings, Screen prints, Digital art, Glass work, Ceramics...60 galleries exhibiting during the 4-day fair, and an exclusive night opening on April 22nd, Nuit de l'Art, in wich the exhibition centre will be transformed into stages for music, poetry, dance, theatre and visual arts performances.
Paintings, Sketches, Video, Sculpture, Photography, Installations, Artist’s books, Engravings, Screen prints, Digital art, Glass work, Ceramics… Come and visit the 60 galleries exhibiting during the 4-day fair, set up across 8,000m2 exhibition space, and enjoy the eclectic agenda of events: Print Art Fair, exclusive exhibitions, events, performances and signings.
An exclusive night opening on April 22nd, Nuit de l'Art, has surprises in store orchestrated by exhibitors: the aisles of the exhibition centre will be transformed into stages for music, poetry, dance, theatre and visual arts performances. Directed by Artistic Director Didier Vesse, former gallery owner and commissioner for numerous exhibitions and artistic director for several contemporary art fairs, including ARTéNIM which was one of his creations.
Fringe Events
A selection of fringe events have been organised in partnership with regional artistic organisations to complement the wide range of galleries and publishers at Lille Art Fair. La Malterie, an experimental contemporary art laboratory, presenting regional artists. The Réseau 50° nord platform brings together a number of different cultural organisations from the North and offers a selection of videos such as Tombe avec les mots, by video artist Robert Cahen, leading the viewer into an exploration of the Passage concept, a work infused with very peculiar and mortiferous emotions. Lasécu presents his art library.
Lille métropole Modern Art Museum announces its forthcoming re-opening (25th September 2010) with a video by the Qubo Gas collective. La Maison de la Photographie presents us with contemporary art photos by Eastern European Artists. Le Fond Régional d'Art Contemporain is relocating and will be stopping off at Lille Art Fair to raise public awareness on contemporary art. Le Fresnoy continues to surprise with its videos.
Fringe events will also be organised around the Print Art Fair. Alain Buyse, the famous screen printer, will be opening his workshop doors to the public. Digipro Labo will be explaining the secrets behind digital art. The ERSEP School and its students will be setting up an engraving workshop on the fair site. Christian Bramsen will be exhibiting Roland Topor's lithographs, linocuts and woodcuts. L'Imprimerie Nationale will be presenting the Artist's Books and Prints Workshop, a dynamic exhibition of unique machines: letter creator, stamp engraver, casters..."
