			Isa Genzken
				Fri Sep 10 2010 Italia Bolzano Piu' di 50 opere provenienti da collezioni private e dalla collezione di Museion offrono un approccio all'eterogenea opera dell'artista con un percorso sganciato da griglie cronologiche, che si snoda attraverso i diversi nuclei fondamentali della sua produzione. L'esposizione si apre al pianoterra di Museion con l'installazione 'Oil XI' chee continua al quarto piano del museo. Nella piu' recente serie di lavori 'Wind' Genzken si serve di materiali esistenti sovrapposti per riaffermare alcune tematiche costanti della sua arte: il coinvolgimento delle componenti fortemente personali ed emotive e le associazioni soggettive nel rapporto scultura-realta'. Le nuove colonne della serie Wind, cosi' come i nuovi lavori a parete, sono in parte dedicati a Michael Jackson: i suoi movimenti di diventano una sorta di metafora del vento che aleggia attraverso le opere.

				Fri Jul 16 2010 Spagna Castello' Premi Internacional d'Art Contemporani Diputacio' de Castello' is an exhibition project conceived by EACC with a view to setting in place a dialogue between various generations of artists. The first stage consisted of contacting five seminal artists; for this edition of the international prize these five were: Marina Abramovic, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, John Baldessari, Esther Ferrer and Antoni Muntadas. The second stage got underway and each one of the artists on the various lists were contacted. The third stage consists of an exhibition with works by Davide Balliano, Ricardo Basbaum, Joshua Callaghan, Omer Fast, Terike Haapoja, Terence Koh, David Maljkovic, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Nico Vascellari among the others.

				Tue Jun 29 2010 USA New York Contemporary Art from the Collection, a complete reinstallation of The Museum of Modern Art's 14,740-square-foot galleries for contemporary art, offers a focused examination of artistic practice since the late 1960s and how current events from the last 40 years have shaped artists' work. The installation presents 130 works by over 60 artists. Vietnamese artist Dinh Q. Le creates work that frequently refers to the Vietnam War and presents both sides of the conflict, informed by his own personal history. The installation, 'Projects 93' comprises a three-channel video and a helicopter that was constructed by hand from scrap parts by two Vietnamese men.

The roots of his work, which is influenced by 1970s Conceptual art and its way of thinking, lie in the adaptation of literary models.

				Thu Jun 10 2010 Germania Berlin Breslauer's photographs reveal how naturally she had absorbed the visual idiom of 'Neues Sehen' and the aesthetics of modern art since Impressionism. The show is the first comprehensive retrospective and displays 130 photographs. The Berlinische Galerie's graphic art collection includes a large number of drawings from the estate of Karl Arnold, including many Berlin images from the 1920s. They form the heart of the exhibition, with around 130 drawings from the artist. The Ursula Sax's display offers insights into an impressively versatile works, ranging from stone and wooden sculpture, via works in metal and clay, to clothing and masks used for performance art.

The show includes several important photographic series: Peter Hujar's nighttime photographs taken in 1976 on the West Side of Manhattan from the Meat Packing district south to the financial district; Alvin Baltrop's Hudson River pier photographs from the decade 1975-86, David Wojnarowicz's Rimbaud in New York, 1978-1979, and, more recently, a number of Zoe Leonard's photographic projects from the late 1990s forward.

Loris Cecchini presenta 'Solidsky', una mostra personale dove nuovi cicli di opere ed elementi eterogenei si alternano in una poetica del disegno, della materia fisica e virtuale. Kader Attia si interessa da sempre alle dinamiche che regolano i rapporti tra est e ovest del mondo. In questa personale presenta un'installazione nel giardino di Galleria Continua dal titolo Holy Land. La personale di Hans Op de Beeck si compone, invece, di un'opera video e di una serie di nuove sculture a forma di tavolo sulla cui superficie sono appoggiati oggetti diversi.

				Thu Jun 3 2010 Belgio Brussels Along the Nineties, many artists started working on the reinvention of obsolete, digital as well as analogue, technologies such as vinyl's, vintage computers, game platforms and alike. Hacking software, circuit-bending hardware, they turned 'dead media' into powerful tools of artistic creation. The exhibition explores this kind of research, focusing on the relationship between musical research and visual research, in the belief that the first, rather than the latter, has often been the driving force in this process.

			New configuration of the 2010 project
				Fri May 14 2010 Gran Bretagna London Anna Barham's projection consists of daily alternating anagrams of the words 'return to Leptis Magna', an endless loop of letters and words are projected onto a wall of the gallery. Michele Lombardelli's work is characterized by uncomfortably tight space with little opportunity for physical or psychological escape; he keeps the viewer trapped in tight spaces with no light at the end of the tunnel. Dan Shaw-Town's resonates as a temporary moment where by each material element used offers themselves as media that manifest obliquely revealing the process of the making.

To stage the festival, Tate Modern is working in collaboration with artist Maurizio Cattelan and curators Cecilia Alemani and Massimiliano Gioni. The Tate is opening late on the 14 and 15 May 2010, tying-in with the nationwide project Museums at Night.

It is also where he has set up his multi-faceted studio, combining the functions of research, production and teaching. 				Fri Apr 2 2010 Germania Frankfurt Donnelly shows at Portikus two drawings on paper, a work with fabric and enamel, 4 large marble slabs with carved parts, a smaller work made of marbel, a video work, a sound piece and two prints. Eliasson's project 'light lab', extending over two years, consists of 18 different installations. Eliasson presented the first work of the series in April 2006 - however, the work itself is invisible from the inside of the building - it is only after dawn and through the northern side of the roof, which is fully glazed, that it can be viewed.

				Fri Mar 26 2010 Svizzera Geneve No Core. A renewed approach to the notion of nihilism, through a search for the meaninglessness composing the centre of the artwork. To do so she employs immaterial parameters, such as reflections, repetitions, loops and voids. When applied to the observation of minute detail, isolated gesture and movement, these tools multiply viewpoints, and create unstable and open realities. Rosenkranz's oeuvre, ranging across various media, is characterised by a lightness of touch which belies the use of irony.

				Mon Mar 22 2010 Spagna Burgos The monumental cycle of Romanesque sculptures in the cloister at Santo Domingo de Silos has long attracted visitors, including generations of artists. When Tacita Dean made her first visit there, many features in this historic complex engaged her attention, not least the Gregorian service of Vespers with which the monks end the day. Some months later, she returned in order to study more closely doodles and graffiti on and around the cloister's colonnade, marks that she imagined might have been made over the centuries by the abbey's inhabitants as they whiled away their hours in lonely seclusion.

				Thu Feb 25 2010 Germania Berlin Die Wende (The Turn) is the story of a group of women from former East Germany who are training to perform a particular movement in synchronized swimming, in which the swimmer makes an underwater backwards loop. Die Wende also refers to the period of time immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It marks the complete process of the change from socialism and planned economy to democracy and capitalism. The artist transforms the gallery space into a gym-like interior comprised of different artifacts intended for dry training.

Like a biological mutant, a forgotten mythology or a bugged program, the works always represent some sort of failure: an error in re-formatting.

				Tue Feb 16 2010 Irlanda Dublin Jorge Pardo, widely returns to the Irish Museum with his first major solo exhibition in Ireland. Pardo is a challenging retrospective that uses the architecture of the Museum to embrace the world of swiftly changing technology and question how art can be innovative and relevant in the 21st century. The exhibition comprises a single work in the form of photomural wallpaper covering the walls of the entire East Wing Galleries. 'This, and other things, 1999-2010' by Irish artist Tallentire brings together two of artist's earlier works as well as four of her most recent pieces, created in response to the environment at IMMA. Esther Shalev-Gerz's survey exhibition presents an exchange of ideas constructed through acts and encounters of communication. This gathering of works interrogates assumptions and opens the space between understanding and perception, embracing doubt and reframing what operates as a given within a particular moment. Mathilde Rosier makes artworks that are decidedly uncontemporary. Without resorting to nostalgia or passeism, they seem nevertheless out of time.

"The idea of landscape is a thread that runs through all the work," says Macdonald, not as a scene butas "a changing space to move through in time." The titles' narrative connects to the artist's own life in direct ways, and his works draw on a range of subjects that have been significant in his practice, but the work is not autobiographical.

'The View from Here', is a large-scale survey of California photography from the 1840s to the present that comprises some 275 photographs. Con questa particolare accordatura si ottengono microtonalita' inusuali e suoni che sono fuori dalla notazione temperata. I Three quarter-tone pieces sono per l'artista un armadio, una cassapanca e un pensile da cucina trasformati in bassi da organi... Esposti inoltre tre piccoli dipinti monocromi della serie 'Dew' e il lavoro 'Ouverture per Pietro'.
