Andando a spasso nell’armoniosa cittadina medievale tra mura duecentesche, torri affusolate, per vie a mattoni, scalinate di pietra a volte può succedervi di imbattervi negli stendardi dell’artista giapponese Shimamoto. È dall’11 settembre 1993 che vengono esposti nelle maggiori ricorrenze in una delle Torri Salvucci. in questo modo un’atmosfera d’altri tempi si incontra con la modernità, la natura col corpo, lo spirito con la materia, l’occidente con l’oriente.

As you stroll trough the harmonious medieval city surrounded by walls dating back to the thirteenth century, and came upon the tall thin towers the bricked roads, the stone stairways, you migth happen upon some banners of Japanes artist Shimamoto. Since September 11, 1993 Shimamoto’s banners have flown on the Salvucci towers on major holidays. Thus an atmosphere of bygone days meet with modernity, nature with the body, spirit with matter, the West with the East.
